Does your garbage disposal ever start to smell and you don’t know what to use to get it smelling clean? Did you know that coffee grounds are a great way to clean your garbage disposal? Don’t toss your used MPH Coffee grounds in the trash, give them new life by making this easy and handy garbage disposal cleaner scrub. It will leave your sink smelling amazing and grounds can even sharpen your blades for you. An added bonus, the Epsom salts in the recipe can help break up hard water stains and buildup and the baking soda naturally cleans the disposal. Here’s how you make it.

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 cup dry, used MPH coffee grounds
  • 1/2 cup Epsom salts
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 3 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • Small mixing bowl

Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl, making sure that all the ingredients are well mixed.

Spoon into a sealable glass jar (I used an MPH candle jar) to store next to the sink.

To use, simply spoon a few tablespoons of the mixture into the garbage disposal and turn on.

Turn the water on to help rinse clean.
